Cherry Season Is HERE!
With the longer days and warming temperatures come delicious seasonal fruits. One of our favorite little fruits begins its peak timing in July- the cherry!
This bitesize stone fruit is low on the glycemic index (a rating of 25) and rich in nutrients like fiber, vitamins and minerals. Full of anthocyanins (an anti-inflammatory compound), and antioxidants, cherries pack quite the punch when it comes to healthy benefits! In fact, they can also be attributed to improved sleep, as they are a natural source of melatonin.
