Fruity Cocktail Season, but Make it Low-Carb!
One of the best parts of longer days and higher temps is sitting under the sun with a cold beverage! If you’re wanting to enjoy something cold & fruity but without the carbs of a simple syrup or sugar, we’ve got just the beverages for you. Try them out and let us know what you think!
P.S. You might notice a lot of recipes that call for ‘muddling’. This is a great trick for low-carb cocktails, because this technique brings out the fruit flavors that the pure sweetness of llinea™ enhances! If you don’t have a muddler, you can use the end of a thick wooden spoon, an ice cream scoop, or pretty much anything that would be good for smashing berries!
llinea Vodka Lemonade
makes 4 cocktails
INGREDIENTS
3 lemons
3 cups cold water
1 3/4 teaspoons llinea™ monk fruit
8oz Vodka
STEPS
Juice the lemons to make 1/2 cup of juice
In a pitcher combine all ingredients
Stir and serve over ice!
llinea Lime Rickey
makes 4 cocktails
INGREDIENTS
16 oz club soda
1 tsp llinea™ monk fruit juice
4 limes
6 oz gin
8 fresh mint leaves
ice
STEPS
Muddle limes, mint and monkfruit juice
Add ice, club soda & gin
Mix & garnish with lime wedges and more mint leaves
Strawberry llinea-rita
makes 4 margaritas
INGREDIENTS
8 oz tequila (silver or other light tequila)
8 oz fresh lime juice
2 oz cointreau
1 tsp llinea™ monk fruit
2 cups fresh strawberries
ice
coarse sea salt
lime wedges
STEPS
Muddle strawberries, lime juice and monk fruit juice
Combine the muddled berries, tequila and cointreau in a cocktail shaker
Pack the rest of the shaker with ice
Shake
Salt the rim of your glass if desired
Serve over additional ice
llinea Berry Cocktail
Makes 4 cocktails
INGREDIENTS
2 cups fresh berries
½ tsp llinea™ monk fruit
6 oz vodka or tequila
2 oz fresh lemon juice
ice
16 oz club soda
STEPS
Muddle berries with monk fruit juice
Combine muddled berries with vodka, and lemon juice
Add ice to four tall glasses and evenly divide the mix between them
Top with club soda, stir and enjoy!
